Following on from the success of their last joint party at Wire in September, Twaddle and Louche get together again to blow away your January blues, proudly presenting Martinez to Leeds for the new year.Martinez, real name Martin Swanstein was born and raised in Sweden, 1981. He got into producing and djing from an early age; his childhood piano, guitar and flute lessons lending themselves perfectly to house and techno music.
Since his first 12 inch in 2001 Martinez has had music out on wide ranging record labels: from the renowned Guidance Recordings in Chicago to Get Physical, Dessous or the mighty Moon Harbour. On top of this constant stream of releases Martinez is also a busy remixer and label owner, launching his own imprint Out of Orbit Recordings in 2004.Now based in Copenhagen, and touring the world on weekends, Martinez find himself picking up similar plaudits to Danish star and close friend, Anders Trentemoller.
Fresh from rocking Fabric on New Years Day Martinez comes to us with a worldwide reputation as a master on the decks with impeccable taste in music. This notoriety, coupled with his production skills make him one of modern house music’s biggest stars, and we could find no-one more suitable to kick-start the new decade with.
