10cc is the English rock band that thwarted the charts during the 1970’s with a string of singles that included Dreadlock Holiday, Rubber Bullets and Neanderthal Man, the first two of which reached the top spot on the UK Singles Chart. The band will be performing live on the 18th July at Millennium Square in Leeds.
The current members, Graham Gouldman, Paul Burgess, Rick Fenn, Mike Stevens and Mick Wilson are all multi instrumentalists, with Graham being the only original member in the current line up. 10cc are known for writing both commercial and artistic tracks with each one often varying hugely in sound.
In recent years 10cc have begin recording once again, with international appearances as special guests on the tours of other artists also becoming more common in the past 3 years. Now, however, 10cc are back on the road with a shed load of new material to showcase to their lifelong fans. Don’t think they will forget to bring back any of the classics though as they are sure to be brought out for a sing a long frenzy.
Millennium Square is one of Leeds most beautiful landmarks, surrounded by other notable establishments such as the Civic Hall, The Carriageworks, The City Museum and The O2 Academy, making it one of the many cultural hotbeds the city offers. This gig will be an open-air performance, so hope for some sunshine and let 10cc do the rest.
