To prove that great things come in small packages The Doctor’s Orders return for their third 45’s special bringing together four powerhouse DJs to play 45 of their favourite 45’s each at this night ingeniously called 45 x 45.
Those little 7” platters that had our mums and dads dancing round the jukebox are experiencing a serious revival among the DJ community. Just check the #45Friday trending on Instagram. Never ones to be swayed by trends out DJs tonight have long been collecting these fun sized vinyl bombs and will be spinning all manor of Hip-Hop, Funk, Reggae, Soul, Disco and a sneaky bit of Pop that is sure to keep you rocking in your socks all night.
Good friend of The Doctor’s Orders, DJ Format is no shrinking violet when it come to funk fuelled vinyl, as you can tell from his drum heavy, breaks laden productions. A serious collector he will be making sure that he keeps both the dance-floor and his mates behind the decks on their toes tonight.
Not one to be out done when it comes to either his hopeless vinyl addiction or his skills on the turntables Mr Thing will be exploring all corners of his ridiculous 45’s collection. His infectious enthusiasm for his trade will spread like wildfire for those wise enough to pack this basement club.
A dark horse to many, Spin Doctor has his 45’s game on lock. Having started by stealing his older brother & sister’s records he has left no stone unturned either in the UK or abroad when it comes to digging for soul drenched 7” to get you moving.
Spinning his first 45 x 45 set is another of The Doctor’s Orders family Russ Ryan. A not so silent assassin he will be causing an early eventing storm with his blend of original breaks and dusty treats.
