HUSH HOUSE presents A SECRET LOVE AFFAIR

With the hazy memories of a stellar summer break becoming gradually more and more distant (and little to show for it other than a handful of dodgy tagged photos and a fading sun tan) Hush House return for a final fling with faithful old Leeds - and our original home on Harrison Street - for a freshers' week bash to take your mind off the maxed-out overdraft and the dreadful thought of actually having to get out of bed and learn stuff every day.

This time around we won't be enlisting the help of any renowned international DJs or live acts (sorry Rob Cary, you don't count) but instead the trusty crew of residents you've come to know and love/hate over the past year and a half. We bring you…

R & J

Hailing from the mean streets of Cambridge and Suffolk respectively, messrs Cary and Were have become infamous across Europe for their heavy drinking and unmistakeable brand of contemporary and classic house and techno selections. Theirs is a tempestuous relationship somewhat akin to an unhappily married couple - Joe's often left holding the baby whilst the philandering Rob plays away from home. Behind the decks (well, CDJs - Joe still can't mix vinyl), however, the gruesome twosome put the bickering to one side and unite to form an unstoppable four-to-the-floor tour de force. Just make sure they've got plenty of drinks tokens.

NATHAN BRUSH

Manchester. The rainy city over the Pennines that gave us the Hacienda, 808 State, New Order, A Guy Called Gerald and countless other luminaries. Nathan Brush isn't from Manchester. He's from Wilmslow - a town with more Mercedes-Benz dealerships than record shops, and the kind of nightclubs where you're more likely to bump into Michael Carrick than Michael Mayer. But don't let that put you off - Nathan's certainly a deft hand behind the ones and twos, with a keen ear for the finest in soulful house grooves and chugging techno stormers. Back of the net.

DYLAN THOMPSON

It's really hard to take the piss out of yourself in the third-person perspective, but Dylan Thompson was never one to give up easily. Born in a log cabin just off the M62, he was raised up to the age of 10 by a pack of wolves. Inspired by the wolves' eclectic record collection, he began his DJ career in the working mens' clubs and bingo halls of the North West - though the crowds never quite shared his enthusiasm for Mood II Swing, Romanthony and old Perlon records. Thompson moved to Leeds in 2011 to pursue a degree in geography, and spends most of his time trying to ID tunes from Prosumer mixes. He is the tallest of the Hush House residents at a whopping 6'6".
