We have invited the Berlin-based, Man Make Music label boss, George FitzGerald to fill the headline slot. His relationship with music has really changed over time, seeing him produce a varied, yet consistent, string of releases, which has defined his influential status in dance music. We look forward to seeing him show off his deep musical knowledge.
George is joined by the internationally renowned Voyage Direct label-boss, Tom Trago. His early years saw him experiment with hiphop, jazz, Latin influences, Afrobeat sounds and soul-flecked broken beat, which caught the ear of local labels and producers, before he began to apply his composition and production skills to house music. By the time local label Rush Hour snapped up his debut single, “Live With The BBQ”, in 2006, he’d already developed a trademark style that blended the best of three decades of dance music – disco, boogie, synth funk, Detroit techno and more – with insatiable house rhythms and an intrinsic grasp of what makes dancefloors tick. Not to be missed.
Up next, we have asked Jasper James top off the bill in the main room. A man whose talent stretches far beyond his years; he is quickly becoming one of the biggest names on the UK club scene and we are intrigued to see what’s in his record bag off the back of his superb residency at Phonox this summer.
Next door, we have entrusted On Loop, Moxie’s new dance night and music label, with the hosting duties in The Tunnel. Dan has made waves in the music scene, having been the first non-Detroit DJ to sign with Moodyman’s Mahogani Music, and he has moved from strength to strength. The Tunnel is waiting.
