Plus Black Tusk & Crobot
Based in Los Angeles, California, Black Label Society are the heavy metal band that will be coming over to the UK next year to play a series of tour dates including this stop at Leeds’ O2 Academy on the 15th of February.
Known for their thick aggressive style and Zakk Wyldes impressive guitar abilities, Black Label Society have spread their many tracks over nine studio albums, with the first being released in 1999 and the most recent, ‘Catacombs Of The Black Vatican’ being released this year, provoking their worldwide tour that will first make its way through Canada before the end of the year.
The groups most recent LP has been praised throughout, with notable tracks like ‘My Dying Time’ and ‘Beyond The Down’ encompassing Wylde’s signature fret squeals with groove and uplifting choruses. Although this instalment is without Nick Catanese, it is a dedicated album that carries a heavy heart, perhaps being the most enthusiastic yet.
The O2 Academy in Leeds has played host to various prolific rock and metal bands that include the likes of Motorhead, Thin Lizzy, Avenged Sevenfold and Machine Head. These aside, it is time for another classic band to take to its stage in entertaining the energetic crowd of Leeds, and with an album of new material to showcase to the crowd, it will no doubt be a showstopper.
