Five young guys from Manchester – four classically trained musicians and a young man with a voice to die for – have in the space of 2 years, formed a band and written a full set of effortlessly beautiful songs and built a solid fan base which has set the foundations for huge potential. Jamie McCool (vocals), Jack O’Connor (guitar), Howard Eastwood (piano), Jack Brown (bass) and Josh Hussey (drums) are Black Lights and they are creating a big buzz around Manchester. Only just in their 20′s, this precociously talented group demonstrate the city’s ability to produce music that has the rest of the country green with envy.
The numbers speak for themselves – Black Lights are now arguably Manchester’s biggest independent new band – 6 consecutive sold out hometown shows at bigger and bigger venues including The Ruby Lounge, Band On The Wall and Manchester Academy 3. Also selling out their biggest show to date at Gorilla in Manchester in August 2014. The future looks bright.
