Like many producers, Leeds native Tom Wrankmore took to beatmaking at a young age, saving up to buy an MPC so he could start making music. His first productions were strongly influenced by hip-hop, garnering comparisons to artists like Madlib and other LA experimentalists based on his Out of Phase and Seasons EPs.
Now residing in London, he’s broadened his sound palette and has begun mucking about with house and garage, getting a track signed to Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Electric compilation, remixing a wide range of artists within the same field, dropping the Undivided Whole EP on the somethinksounds label and a track on the Manchester based hoya hoya label alongside Lone and Ras G. DJ sets are eclectic incorporating sounds from a wide spectrum
Lee Sanderson is the founder of Dusk Underground music and both Lee and the label have come a long way since they first set foot in the wonderful city of Leeds. Lee's musical taste and personality have leant a help in hand to his recent success, including his most recent release making it into the top 50 on Beatport and garnering support from some of the industry's giants. His track 'New Day' really put his name on the map, causing waves within the blogosphere and spreading his name worldwide. His amazing drive and passion for the music is constantly pushing his success into overdrive.
Andy SowerBeats is new on the scene, however that is not to say that he hasn't achieved a lot in this time. Last month alone Andy released three EP's all on prestigious labels, with his release on 'Digital Killer Records' being featured in Beatports very own picks for July, as well as his track, 'New Day' produced with Lee Sanderson for Dusk Underground Music being picked up by blogs all over the world and really cementing him on to the scene and paving the way for a bright and successful future.
