INDRA is the name to watch in the new generation of young electronic producers. First turning heads in the future bass music scene with his 2012 release “Sweeter Than Honey”, he is now catching the attention of A & R scouts and labels on both sides of the Atlantic with an array of distinctive productions. His signature sound is a cross-over between Deep House and Garage, containing a rich mix of harmonic progressions, ambient synth's and lush melodies. You may hear the echoes of artists such as James Blake, Koreless, Breach and Khan, all of whom INDRA lists as his influences.
INDRA certainly has the right credentials for a break though. Taking his first violin and piano lessons at the age of 18 months, he flourished in classical music before finding his creative niche in Music Technology. Growing up in Bristol, with its thriving electronic scene, performing at Bristol’s open mic nights, and savouring the delights of the nearby Glastonbury Festival all helped to mature his musical background. Topping off his production skills with a degree at Leeds College of Music, the go-to college for creative producers and performing artists, INDRA is the finished article.
Effortlessly turning his hand to the decks, 2013 sees him stepping out into the DJ scene. Don’t miss his live performances – they’re electric. And watch too for his next E.P. release, hotly anticipated for this summer. INDRA will be big. Make sure to be in on the ground floor.
