Faithless at Lytham Festival 2015

20th Anniversary Tour - Lytham Festival - Proms Arena 2015

Lancashire’s Lytham Festival is the counties largest live music event, which has attracted thousands of revellers to its gates since its inception in 2009 as Lytham Proms. Now bringing international artists to a number of venues that take part in the festival, the weekend has grown huge amounts from being a one-night commemoration of the Battle Of Britain’s 70th anniversary to a celebratory weekend of eclectic music and arts.

2015 will see one of the broadest and most exciting line-ups to date, as this years headliners are none other than British dance heavyweights Faithless. Having reunited for their 20th anniversary, the group, fronted by Maxi Jazz and Sister Bliss, will be descending on Lytham Festival to perform a series of their classic electronic tracks, which include the top 10 dance hits ‘Insomnia’ and ‘Salva Mea’, not to mention a further platter of tasty club treats that have gone down in history as total classics. First forming in 1995, Faithless have performed all over the world at almost every reputable nightclub and festival you could think of, however after their split in 2011 it seemed it was the end. This year however, Faithless announced they would be playing at a small number of UK Festivals for their homecoming tour, which will rekindle the on stage energy and admiration for the still hugely appraised dance group. Faithless will be playing on the Thursday of Lytham Festival at The Proms Arena.

Lytham Festival will be bringing a further splattering of stars to a number of venues that include The Lowther Pavilion, The Hewitt Lecture Rooms, Lytham Hall, The Piazza and The Assembly Rooms, not to mention the Royal Park View 4U, which will welcome a selection of fine comedians and superb storytellers. BBC Introducing and a themed 80s V 90s night are just at the surface of what can be seen at Lytham Festival. Some of the others acts who will be appearing across the weekend include R&B star Billie Ocean, The Tootsie Rollers, The Vengaboys, Chesney Hawkes, 5ive and Jimmy Somerville to name but a few. Poetry and spoken word events, an acoustic stage, traditional and contemporary jazz musicians and a stage curated by the BBC Introducing team are just some of the other exciting happenings at this years Lytham Festival.
