FICKLE FRIENDS + guests
Once more, BBC Introducing teams up with Club NME to highlight the best and brightest rising stars for the year ahead. BBC Introducing have been instrumental in breaking new acts across all genres, up and down the country: with stages at a ton of UK festivals, including Reading and Leeds, TV shows and dedicated BBC Radio 1 slots, they have provided a platform for hundreds of new artists to step up to the next level.
Brighton’s 5-piece, Fickle Friends first caught people’s attention in January 2014 when they released their debut single ‘Swim’. It reached over half-a-million plays on Soundcloud and saw them become one of HypeMachine’s most blogged about artists of the year. Since then, the band have been a 2014 festival favourite and released two more singles with Killing Moon Records. The band have become synonymous for their indie-party-time-meets-80′s-new-wave sound – a style usually coupled with personal and melancholic lyrics from lead singer Natti Shiner. The band are set to make waves in 2015 when they release their debut EP.
