The Wonder Stuff
The Wedding Presents
Indie Daze, the one day indoor music festival at The Forum in Kentish Town, London is returning in 2015 after a great inaugural show last year, which saw performances from Ned’s Atomic Dustbin, Jesus Jones, The Darling Buds and more. Taking place on the 3rd of October, Indie Daze will be inviting a host of indie bands from the 80s and 90s to play together under one roof, in celebration of old school bands, music and spirit.
Headlining the affair will be the five-piece The Wonder Stuff whose debut album Eight Legged Groove, which was released in 1988, started off a string of classic hits that now date all the way to their most recent 2012 album, ‘Oh No! It’s… The Wonder Stuff. The fast paced indie rock group Wedding Present will also be appearing on stage, performing their second album ‘Bizarro’, an Indie Daze Exclusive. Pop Will Eat Itself is the third band to be performing at Indie Daze 2015. Founded by Graham Crabb, this group fabricate a sample driven style of industrial rock that can be heard on hit singles like ‘Get The Girl! Kill The Baddies!’. Pop Will Eat Itself will be performing their new single first at Indie Daze together with a selection of their classics.
Next we have Eat, the indie rock band who, after a turbulent career lasting from the eighties until the early nineties, have reformed and released music on The Cure’s label Fiction. Having played 2 sold out shows since their reform this will be a highly anticipated performance. Penultimately we have Back To The Planet, who after forming in 1989 and reforming in 2006 brought us big hits like ‘Daydream’ and ‘Teenage Turtles’, which have been taken to Glastonbury on four consecutive occasions since the band got back together. Last but not least Indie Daze 2015 will see the return of The Popinjays, who have been tipped by NME as being the “stars of tomorrow” after releasing well known tracks such as ‘Monster Mouth and ‘Vote Elvis’.
