J Cole at Manchester Arena
Plus Pusha T, Jhene Aiko and Bas, Cozz and Omen
Grammy Award nominated J. Cole first came to the attention of world star rapper Jay-Z after the release of his debut mixtape ‘The Come Up’, which resulted in the 30 year old signing to his label Roc Nation in 2009. Since the signing he has released two further mix tapes alongside his three studio albums, the first of which, entitled ‘Cole World: The Sideline Story’ saw him nominated for his first of two Grammy Awards, this one being for ‘Best New Artist’.
From starting out as a supporting act for Canadian rapper Drake, J. Cole has grown into his own, now relishing three number one LPs in the UK and many Top 10 singles that include ‘Work Out’ and ‘Apparently’, not to mention a number of collaborative singles with the likes of Missy Elliott and TLC, which brought him his second Grammy nomination.
This year J. Cole will be embarking on his world tour that has already begin over in the US. After shows in Vegas, New Orleans and Richmond he will be coming over the Europe for ‘The Journey’, during which he will play in Germany, Denmark and France before stopping in the UK, with his Manchester Arena gig taking place on May 14th.
