Jamie T at O2 Academy Leeds
On Saturday the 8th of November, Jamie T will be travelling to Leeds with his band The Pacemakers to play a one night only gig at the O2 Academy in Millennium Square. This comes as part of his UK tour that begins after the release of his new album ‘Carry On The Grudge’ that is released on September the 29th.
Jamie T has been around for the best part of 8 years, since his first singles ‘Sheila’ and ‘If You Got The Money’ were heavily played on the radio in 2006. Over the next few years Jamie played at several festivals that followed the release of his debut album, these include Radio 1s Big Weekend, Benicassim and Glastonbury in 2007, as well as a US tour. Since his first album Jamie T has gone on to release 2 albums and a number of EPs, with his third album due to be released before embarking on his 2014 UK tour. Jamie’s most notable tracks include ‘The Man’s Machine’, ‘Sticks ‘N’ Stones’ and ‘Calm Down Dearest’, amongst many others that have contributed to his two already released albums gaining gold certifications. Nicknamed a “one man Arctic Monkey”, Jamie T is a wonderfully energetic performer and will no doubt bring charisma and attitude to the O2 Academy Leeds on November the 8th.
The O2 Academy Leeds is located next to Millennium Square in the city centre and has been open as the cities number one live music venue since 2007. Set inside a grade-II listed church like building it has seen performance from many huge performers with The Wailers, The Enemy, Ellie Goulding, Madness, Foals and MGMT having played in recent years.
