Kaskade at Electric Brixton
EVENT INFORMATION
Progressive house master Kaskade will be heading out on tour this November, with consecutive shows on the 10th, 11th and 12th seeing him visit Leeds, Manchester and London on a whistlestop tour of the country. The American DJ, producer and remixer has been named “America’s Best DJ” twice, and stands alongside deadmau5 and Wolfgang Gartner as one of the key figures in the commercialisation of the second wave of progressive house, which kicked off in a big way back in the late 2000s.
Having first started DJing in his bedroom at university, Ryan Raddon has spent the last twenty plus years perfecting his craft, having adopted the name Kaskade and devoted himself to making house music with mass market appeal. Having put his name to nine studio albums, three compilations, fifty four singles and seven mixes, he is surely one of the most prolific electronic artists in the game, and has been an instrumental figure in the genre’s rising popularity over the last decade. His clean productions focus on catchy synth lines, gripping beats and earworm vocals, which goes a long way to explaining why they have proven so popular across the world. A mainstay in the playlists that soundtrack mainstream clubs in the UK and overseas, Kaskade’s influence and reach is unquestionable.
Now making appearances at Canal Mills in Leeds, Manchester Academy 2 and Electric Brixton, the chart-house maestro will no doubt be a popular guest as he tours our humble isle.
