A forward thinking lineup pushing the boundaries with an array of genre crossing DJs, justifiably expect the unexpected. Here we bring you....

Dean draws his musical influences from 4 major points in his life. As a young boy, he remembers listening to his dad's vast collection of records, covering Disco, Soul, Funk, Reggae, Calypso, and even some Rock. In fact, Dean still plays some of his Dad's records to this day. As a young Teenager Dean became fascinated with Hip Hop and the culture, groups such as Wu-tang, A tribe Called Quest, and countless others excited him with their intelligent lyrics and well produced beats. In 2011, Dean hooked up with 3 like minded DJ/producers, Malcolm welove, Euan Mitchell, and Sy Legg. As a collective they have also hosted back rooms for some of the biggest nights in Leeds including Asylum & Technique, Filth, Hacienda at Mint Warehouse, and Back to Basics, And their blend of Soulful, Deep, Disco vibes has seen them smash dancefloors in Leeds.

RUDOLPH MONO

He's no relation to the famous reindeer, nor has he ever slept in a stable. He's merely a pseudonym. Heralding from the coast of Scarborough, Rudolph has been placed in various DJ booths including Spektrum @ Sankeys, Beaverworks in Leeds & The Empire in Middlesbrough. His style is simple. Chunky deep house with groove-laden interiors. Rudolph takes his musical sound from producers such as Manuel Tur, Darius Syrossian, UGLH, Stimming, Helmut Dubnitzky, Harry Wolfman & Mihai Popoviciu amongst many others.

Being the founders of itiswhatitis their ethos has always been to bring cutting music along with DJs and Producers to the forefront of the music scene. As well as running their own events between them they have vast experience and had the opportunity to play alongside some of the world biggest names such as Kerri Chandler, Jamie Jones, Frankie Knuckles, DJ Sneak and Grand Master Flash to name a few.
