Plus Special Guests
British indie rockers Little Comets will be descending upon Liverpool’s O2 Academy to perform live on Tuesday the 28th of October. The band released their debut single ‘One Night In October’ back in 2009, and it consequently received lots of praise from several music figures including BBC Radio 1 DJs Huw Stephens and Sara Cox.
After supporting other groups such as The Noisettes and The Twang on their UK tours, Little Comets unveiled their debut album in November 2010, which was then released at the beginning of the following year. The album contained the singles ‘Isles’, ‘Joanna’ and their debut release, together forming a feel-good, funky collection of tracks that proved to be eclectic and a lot of fun to listen to. After a member of the band left midway through 2011, they have continued to release a string of EPs, one of which, named ‘Dancing Song’, was featured on a Radox television commercial.
This cultivation of releases has paired well with a number of live performances this year, with highlights being their headline slot at Lainfest Music Festival in Leicestershire. The band are now about to embark on a headline UK tour during which they will play in London, Leeds, Edinburgh, Manchester and of course at Liverpool’s O2 Academy on the 28th of October.
