Birmingham Promoters Presents
Little comets have been making tough waves in the indie music scene since they first formed back in 2008. Their trio that consists of Robert, Michael and Matthew hail from Tyne and Wear and were quickly signed to Columbia Records with the release of their debut album ‘In Search Of Elusive Little Comets’ that was released toward the beginning of 2011.
That first LP provoked a large amount of praise from new fans and also several critics and music industry figures. These include the likes of Radio 1 DJs Sara Cox, Zane Lowe and Huw Stevens who revelled in the albums feel good vibe that bleeds funk and dons guitar riffs that prove tighter than an Italian tenor’s trousers. The album made an impact on the UK Top 40 chart and good reviews showed promise for Little Comets’ second album that followed a year of touring in 2012.
‘Life Is Elsewhere’ was their second gift to us, which hit the shelves in October of that year, again to be preceded by extensive touring at several music festivals and some of the most iconic venues in both the UK and Europe. Little Comets’ newest album, ‘Hope Is Just A State Of Mind’ is now due at beginning of next year, hitting the shelves in February and is a completely self produced LP, which demonstrates their versatility as musicians, songwriters, singers and producers.
