Lower Than Atlantis formed in 2007 and has released a number of albums and singles that have cemented them firmly in the rock music scene of today. With a predominantly punk rock sound, Lower Than Atlantis have been signed to some of the most prominent record labels that have existed, with their eponymous fourth studio album landing a deal with Sony Records at the back end of last year.
The bands debut album Far Q hit the shelves in 2010, gaining good reviews from music critics and new fans. Jimmy Eat World and The Foo Fighters were strong influences on the bands second album World Record, which received a number of 10/10 rating and was also voted the 2nd best album of 2011 in Dead Press, with 1st, 3rd and 4th positions in the charts of other well known musical outfits. After roaming the world touring in support of bands such as A Day To Remember, Decade and Yearbook, Lower Than Atlantis’ most recent album was released in October 2014 and received rave reviews, being voted Rock Sound’s number 1 album of the year.
A few months after the release of Lower Than Atlantis, front man Mike Duce announced that the band would be embarking on a UK and Ireland tour in 2015, with Ben Samson, Eddy Thrower and Dec Hart forming the full group line up. The tour will see Lower Than Atlantis playing in Manchester, Nottingham, Leeds, Bristol and London, however on the 12th of December the band will call at Birmingham for a show at one of the cities most prominent live music venues, The Institute.
