The Institute in Birmingham will be playing host to Meghan Trainor, the talented singer and songwriter from Nantucket, Massachusetts, on the 11th of April as part of her UK tour dates that are taking place throughout the month. The number one selling and Grammy nominated Trainor will be kicking off what is looking to be a prosperous year for the American, with a string of American dates also line up, which she will be embarking upon in March.
In 2014, Meghan’s career was kicked off to an unimaginable high when her debut single ‘All About That Bass’ skyrocketed to the number one spot in the UK charts. A Grammy nomination for ‘Record Of The Year’ and chartings in 58 countries was the just the tip of the iceberg as the single blew up to become one of the best selling singles of all time. Also taken from her debut album ‘Title’, like the first, was ‘Lips Are Moving, which went on the become Trainor’s second consecutive hit, with many more likely to be heard in the coming months.
With her debut album still flying high in the charts after widespread acclaim and further touring dates all over Europe scheduled for the months after her visit to the UK, Meghan is looking forward to big things, meaning this is as good a chance as ever to catch a rising star before they make it to the top.
