ReGenesis, the UK’s best and most popular Genesis tribute band, are proud to mark the 40th Anniversary of seminal Genesis album ‘Selling England By The Pound’, with a very special show performing the album in it’s entirity, including songs rarely, if ever, performed, as well as many other classics from their early seventies work, with new costumes and lighting effects.
“ReGenesis are not only as good as the genuine 1970s article, I suspect that they may very well often be better, especially on the most intricate aspects of the original band’s catalogue. If you’re a fan of the Peter Gabriel-era Genesis from the first time around, or a more recent convert to their classic work, there’s no better way to see it brought to life in the 21st century.” – Paul Sexton (Times / Sunday Times / Billboard / Radio 2). High praise indeed!
Regenesis focus mainly on ‘classic era’ Genesis when Peter Gabriel’s inventive, madcap masks and costumes got ever more daring and outrageous in stark contrast, and in the singer’s response to, the remainder of the band standing stock still or sitting down. It is uncannily realistic with all the little nuances and inflections perfectly replicated.
In 2001 at the G2 convention ReGenesis performed, for the first time in the UK in 25 years, the entire The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway album. Tours have generally centred around those albums released when Peter Gabriel was in the band, including, in 2003, the whole of Selling England by the Pound.
