There's plenty of jack in Sabajaq this month as Jim Warboy's bi-monthly party welcomes a host of house, tech-house and techno talent.
Having released albums on Cocoon, Soma and Bedrock, Elevate bosses Pig&Dan have more experience than most in the world of techno, their army of fans across the world proven by hitting the top of Beatport's techno charts again with their latest Drumcode release, 'Chemistry'. Headlining the Main Room, they're joined by Canadian talent D-Unity. Head of his own Unity imprint, he cut his teeth on the likes of Toolroom, Yoshitoshi, Ultra, Great Stuff and CR2, his tough techno sound bolstered by tribal drums. Supporting both is Vinicius Honorio. With three of his tracks featured in the same episode of Adam Beyer's Drumcode radio show at the end of January, expect 2017 to be his year.
Part of the Crosstown Rebels family, co-owner of party and label Twirl (alongside Shaun J. Wright.) and a regular at Panorama Bar, Chicago-born Berlin-based Alinka mixes up classically flavoured house with modern, techier grooves. Alongside her on the Terrace is Batty Bass boss Hannah Holland, one of East London's most successful exports thanks to her blend of techno and NYC influenced house. Residents Maze & Masters and Joe Roberts open and close with their own distinctive takes on house, tech-house and even breakbeat, keeping the groove locked.
In the Basement, expect intenser, industrial-edged techno thanks to Othon, Venice Calypso and Wandson Maxx. Contrasting this, the Loft welcomes duo Disco Spritz, aka Chaka Khan't and Stretch Armstrong, who are joined by Mixologist and Nubian D live for a session of soaring disco anthems and feel-good funk.
Performing throughout the night are FKA Twigs collaborator Benjamin Milan, Winny Herbert, FoxGlove and Maleficent Martini, adding an entrancing live visual element to the music.
