Selective Hearing Leeds w/ ∆KKORD live // CLOUDS llive // VERSA // WILL BERRIDGE
Following the untimely closing of The Garage, we've decided to go nomad. Our first stop, the intimate setting of Beat Bar powered by a full Funktion One soundsystem, the perfect space for a night of dark, powerful techno.
For our penultimate party of the year, we are joined by two guests playing live. Akkord finally making their return, are joined by Turbo Recordings techno two piece, Clouds.
Support comes from resident Versa, and Save You Records' Will Berridge, with live visuals from Bones.

Akkord, spelt with a Delta sign, are comprised of Lancastrian natives, Indigo & Synkro, although they don’t want you to know that. Together, they’ve taken the best of their existing musical prowess, and brought it together to create a new, powerful sound, making home in-between the realms of bass music, and energetic techno. They’ve manage to ecompass everything from the Autonomic DnB created as Synkro & Indigo, to the soulful two step which they’ve long been famous for. Akkord is the start of a new beast, already setting the scene alight, with a debut album set for release on Fabrics own imprint, Houndstooth (alongside the likes of Call Super & Special Request), and self-titled, self-released records, alongside their Navigate E.P released back in June on clubs label, they are finally reaching their sound to the masses, something that may come as a shock to the system, a welcomed one. Firm favourites of Selective Hearing, we welcome Akkord back to Leeds for the second time, and fourth time in all. It’s not often we book the same act 4 times.
We welcome one of the hottest properties in techno to come and make their Leeds debut for us on the 14th. Turbo Recordings Clouds. Bringing with them a back catalogue of solid techno releases, and even an album, all on the esteemed imprint championed by Tiga. Although relatively new to this game, Clouds have been ripping it up, receiving support from the likes of Richie Hawtin, Marcel Dettmann, Sven Vath & Chris Leibing, playing the world over and establishing themselves as one of the most exciting breakthrough acts the UK techno scene has to offer. If you’re yet to catch on to these two, we recommend you do it fast, as we can’t see you being able to see them in a 200 capacity venue any time in the near future.
Support is provide by resident, Versa. With releases on labels such as EMF, Mindet, Smoking Session, MUD, ICU Audio and Shanti Tone, it’s hard to understand why our man Versa hasn’t made a bigger name for himself in the UK. A truly exceptional talent, he can create everything from, Jazz influence Hip Hop (under his Proclaim Knowledge alias), to reggae influence Dub-Techno to down temp drum & bass, the list goes on.
Footing the bill is up and comer, Will Berridge. Recently signed to Save You Records, and resident and co-founder of the night Mist, Berridge has excelled with his bass heavy house sound, garnering a strong support blow up any time soon, we couldn’t be more chuffed to have him come and play for us.
