Firstly, a great big thank you to everyone who made it down to our last outing with Krystal Klear, Chesus and Hot Toddy. Another unreal party with some new and old faces to be seen.
We now enter into our third installment Wednesday 2nd October, with 3 headlining acts; MARIBOU STATE, OUTBOXX and WAYWARD. As always, our home The Garage will open it’s doors to two floors throughout the night.
Tickets will fly out for this one, so don’t leave it too late to get yours!
Maribou State [Southern Fried]
OUTBOXX [Futureboogie / Idle Hands]
+ Set One Twenty Residents
James Perrin [Set One Twenty]
Kag [Apogee / Movement / Set One Twenty]
★Maribou State★ [Southern Fried]
From tropical beats to Fatboy slim remixes, Chris Davids and Liam Ivory, better known as Maribou State are the Hertfordshire duo at the forefront of the new wave of British producers assimilating all the elements of underground dance music. With support from fellow artists/D.Js such as Rob de bank, the 2Bears and SBTRKT we welcome this month’s headling act Maribou State to the intimate space that is… The Garage!
★Outboxx ★ [Futureboogie / Idel Hands]
For our second guests of the night we welcome Outboxx, the Bristol pair made up of Jacob and Matthew. With releases on respected labels Idle Hands, and the ever present Futureboogie with their new E.P titled The Fade which has been a big favourite from all of us down here at the Set One Twenty HQ. These guys are a dead cert to impress, we can’t wait to have them down!
We finally welcome Wayward to join us this month. Having already received attention from Radio 1′s Rob da Bank and the Majestic YouTube channel, Wayward’s debut track Only Flaw left us eager to hear more. Their vocal re-work of Fish Go Deep’s The Cure And The Cause hints at a musical talent that has now been reaffirmed by the arrival of their equally uplifting follow-up track, Marvin (see below). With Eton Messy already giving it their backing, great things look set to lie ahead for the Leeds and London-based duo in 2013. These guys have been releasing some of the best music that we here at Set One Twenty rate very, very highly.
Finally supporting this shows line-up with be the ever-present Set One Twenty resident’s James Perrin and Kag. By now you should all know about what these guys bring to the table, nothing but uplifting sets from the pair.
