Slip w/ Brawther & Tom Demac (live)
Unbelievably excited to announce our new residency at the iconic Mint Club!
One of the UK’s most respected venues with a sound system unrivalled in Leeds, we are looking forward to putting our stamp on a venue that has provided the platform for so many inspired and legendary underground parties.
After the incredible support at our launch night we were eager to find the perfect space for our collective Slip. Expect the madness to reach another level in a far more intimate environment.
Born in Paris, now living in Leeds and raised on house – Brawther is one of the most forthright talents to emerge onto the French electronic scene in recent times. With an uncompromising attitude and the skills backed up in some of the hottest underground records of the past few years, Brawther's natural ability in both the studio and behind the decks is clear for all to see.
As a DJ he is as comfortable playing CircoLoco at DC-10 as he is at Fabric, Panorama Bar or Glastonbury and Leeds institution Back to Basics come calling for his services on a regular basis. Brawther is also the man behind record label and production partnership Dungeon Meat, a like-minded collaboration with Tristan da Cunha. Very much prising quality over quantity, Brawther knows just when to release his records into the wider world. When he does, it seems the world takes note.
As an artist who has massively influenced us, we are delighted to have Brawther play in his first appearance at Mint Club.
One of the UK’s most original artists – Tom Demac has refused to bend to stereotype, crafting his own signature sound based on his philosophy of continually pushing the boundaries.
Committing tracks it seems, only to the most heavyweight of underground labels around, including Hypercolour, Aus Music, Drumcode, Connaisseur and Cocoon - his sound is satisfyingly left-of-centre without ever forsaking the dancefloor and the simple things that make it tick. His technical ability in the studio is matched by his ability connect with his audience with belting sets at the likes of Sankeys, XOYO and Fabric.
After taking time out to refine his new live set, we are excited to welcome Tom to Slip where he will be performing it for the very first time. You never know what’s in store from a truly unique artist but can guarantee his array of new material will be perfectly procured to take the roof off Mint.
