London International Ska Festival presents Steel Pulse at The Forum, London
Plus Special Guests
Steel Pulse are the Grammy Award winning roots reggae collective straight out of the UK, who will be performing a one night only gig at The Forum London as part of their UK tour that is taking place throughout the next two months. They will be gracing London with their spiritually uplifting music on Saturday the 4th of April, joined by a selection of special guests. Steel Pulse is renowned as the only non-Jamaican band to have ever won the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album.
The group picked up the award in 1985 for their studio album ‘Babylon The Bandit’ and since they won they have also ben put up for the same award for more of their influential albums including Victims, Rastafari Centennial, Rage & Fury, African Holocaust and Living Legacy, with each LP aiming to inform, educate and fight against worldwide injustice. Doing this through powerful vocals layed over big basslines and infectious hooks, Steel Pulse have gone down in history, and this gig will be a rejuvenation of their sound, with tracks coming from the old and the new, which you will be the first to hear.
