Students vs Donuts | Round 2
Leeds' only student doughnut eating competition
The Faversham | Thurs 28th Jan | 8.30pm start
On Thursday 19th November DONUTS we played host to Leeds' first ever doughnut eating competition. Set in the unruly confines of The Faversham conservatory 20 University of Leeds students (10 guys and 10 girls) sat down at The Favs tall Hogwarts-esque tables and competed for the title of King and Queen Donut whilst 100s of their peers cheered on. Check out the viedo footage from last time; https://vimeo.com/151524847
Now on the 28th January we return with round 2. King (Matt Thomas) and Queen (Lizzie Simon) of the Doughnut eating competition, will be battling it out with 9 new competitiors to retain their crowns.
The competition will be split into two individual heats; girls vs girls and guys vs guys. Each competitor will be given a set number of doughnuts to eat and the person who finishes in the quickest time will win. The winning male, and winning female will then have a head to head battle to see which gender wins.
The doors open at 8.30pm with the first competition starting at 9pm sharp. The event will be hosted by our Donuts resident DJ with breaks between competitions so everyone can make a trip to the bar. All drinks will be student priced, exactly the same as we charge at Donuts.
All competitors are being picked as we speak. If you are a committee member of a sports team or society or simply a BNOC then drop us a message to take one of the final spots to compete. Competitors will be announced in the next couple of days!
Tickets to attend, cheer, jeer and get merry are priced at just £3 and include entry into the Donuts after party in The Fav club room from 10.30pm. Tickets are limited to 150 people so get yours ASAP from www.takingliberties.com. All competitiors will have paper tickets to sell if you are unable to buy online.
