Last year, a selection of Birmingham’s best clubbing brands took to The Rainbow Venues to bring you The Haunting, a fully dressed up musical treat for the rally of midlands ravers to lap up and enjoy. With music last year across most of The Rainbow’s sites from the likes of Josh Butler, Hannah Wants, Lorenzo, Loefah and Klose One, the annual event closes roads to put on this full Halloween extravaganza, littered with street performers and entertainers ready to scare you silly.
This year The Haunting will be returning on an even bigger scale. Now taking up all of the Rainbow’s illustrious venues, there will be a large array of styles coming from some of the biggest names in dance music. The Warehouse will play host to Route 94, who will be spinning his chart topping style of flow slung house with a selection of special guests, all whilst in the garden, high quality underground house and techno sounds will come from 8Bit label boss Nick Curly, as well as André Galluzzi and Samu.l. Looking towards bass music and dubstep, fans will not be disappointed as Skream and Benga are joined by Radio 1’s Mistajam and Annie Mac, with plenty more guests and residents to be seen representing a plethora of Birmingham’s most prominent club nights.
Stretching from the smaller Cellar and Courtyard to the larger Warehouse, The Rainbow Venues provides so many different spaces to let your hair down and dance to some of the best music that the country has to offer, and The Haunting will allow you to explore all of them, a feature that isn’t seen often. Again, streets will be closed and entertainers will be on hand to frighten you from one place to another and hopefully succeed in making your night a frightfully good one.
