-- Om Unit --
Deftly bridging the borders between jungle, half-time and electronica, Jim Coles aka Om Unit has been finely tuning his sound over the last 20 years, experimenting with turntablism & jungle in his youth before launching the now legendary Om Unit moniker in 2009.
His prolific output has seen the Bristol native releasing LP’s on Metalheadz & Civil Music alongside numerous EP’s and singles on 31, Exit & Ninja Tune, whilst his imprint ‘Cosmic Bridge' continues to blur sonic boundaries, playing host to releases from heavy hitters including Kromestar, J:Kenzo & DJ Madd.
Forever forward thinking, it's a privilege to have this selector see in our birthday in style.
-- Ruf Dug (3 hour set) --
Ruf Dug’s sound is impossible to pin down. Simply put he is a legendary record digger, selector and producer. His releases on his own Ruf Kutz label, Unknown to the Unknown, Music for Dreams and Klasse Wrecks span from Balearic to Acid, Disco to Jungle and everything in between.
More recently he’s been hosting his own famed Wet Play parties across Manchester and playing Bradley Zero’s Rhythm Section nights. Expect to hear an eclectic mix of the best records you’ve never heard over his extended 3 hour set.
His DJ sets are just as eclectic, rocking parties from Ibiza to Sydney via Peckham.
-- Otik --
Otik’s sound is a patchwork of UK music. He first came onto our radar years ago, making heavy low end bangers in the style of his hometown of Bristol and later as the first release on Leeds favourites Brotherhood Sound Systems label.
Today his output has veered more into the Dubstep and Breaks influenced style of techno pioneered by Hemlock, Timedance and Livity Sound, showcased on his regular slots on London’s Radar Radio and NTS. We are excited to see what he brings to warm up for Om Unit.
A fantastic up and comer, we're proud to welcome him to Leeds for his debut.
To celebrate this special occasion, we're offering some silly ticket prices for you so you can come join us on the cheap (re-word).
