The Original Comedy Keller
The Original Comedy Keller returns after our amazing launch!
The line up for 31st January is as follows;
'Mildly laddish, but self deprecating stories all delivered with an irresistible twinkle this (extremely) young stand-up is poised to be the next bright, young sensation on the circuit - expect to hear a lot more of him' - The Guardian
'Hilarious and charming' - The Daily Mirror
A rapidly rising star from Fake Reaction, Celebrity Juice, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, The Xtra Factor, Viral Tap, Sweat the Small Stuff and many more. He received wide acclaim for his debut national theatre tour 'Hometown Hero' and is a Leicester Comedy Festival award winner. Matt is a whirling ball of talent, enthusiasm and intelligent observational comedy who could recite the phone book and make it funny, but instead of comedic painting by numbers his humour is sharp, focussed and very impressive. Side-splittingly energetic, his show is not one to miss.
Runner-up in Britain’s Got Talent in 2013, described as ‘a revelation‘ by Daily Telegraph and ‘comedy genius’ by David Walliams. As seen on Sunday Night At The Palladium, Trollied, Big School, The One Show, 4 O’ Clock Club and numerous others. Jack became an overnight stand-up sensation after reaching the final of Britain’s Got Talent. His first audition on the ITV show has received over 12 million views on YouTube so far. Jack, whose cerebral palsy is often the subject of his act, was awarded a Pride of Britain Award in 2012 in the “Teenager of Courage” category.
He opened for Jason Manford at three of his tour shows in 2010 as well as performing with him in 2013, opening Jason’s tour show First World Problems at London’s Hammersmith Apollo. Jack has performed at various clubs and live events across the country, cementing his place on the national comedy circuit.
'Took zany and surreal to new heights with intricate and fairly complex setups for some very funny pay-offs' - The Public Reviews
Crooked Smile award winner 2015 with an acute sense of the absurd.
Nicola is a Sheffield based comedian who has quite rightly been described as ‘sweetly cynical’ and quite unfairly described as 'a natural psychopath'. If you’ve ever wanted to understand the psychology behind people doing unreasonable things, wearing chintzy patterns or becoming serial killers she’s a must see. With compelling confidence Nicola's seemingly irrefutable comedic logic and deliciously demonstrative disdain for asinine hipster protocol is a welcome addition to any evening of intelligent stand-up.
Compere - Elliot J Huntley
'It was most impressive how effortlessly he commanded the crowd courtesy of some cracking gags, superb comic songs and old school onstage poise' - What's On
With a fabulous array of highly inventive tall-tales and gently twisted punchlines regarding relationships, fatherhood and hanging around low quality nightclubs in the grim hope of an extra curricular dalliance, Elliot’s comedic terrain is constantly entertaining. With his self-confessed oily superficial goodwill he manages to charm even the most stoic of audiences with his playful patter and side-splitting songs performed on mandolin and laced with instantly memorable couplets.
