Event Information

The Value of the Arts in a Multilingual Society brings together the creative arts, languages and ESOL to support partnership working across the sectors.

The event showcases a number of talks discussing projects which explore this theme in the fields of visual art, gallery collections, theatre and film to highlight ways in which the arts and language work together to enrich conversations across the wider community. It will also offer people working in the arts who are interested in themes of language and multilingualism the opportunity to connect with researchers and third sector organisations in order to develop new work and ideas.

As part of the event we will show the digital exhibition Visual Representations of Multilingualism which highlights the work of artists working with languages.

Free event - advance booking recommended to secure your place.
