After our last sellout party welcomed over 850 people through the doors, we believe we've set the bar even higher with our April lineup:

Back at the infamous GORILLA!

Tiger & Woods (Live);

Here’s how they met: One day in a fairly dusty basement (digging for records of course), these two fine gentlemen nearly got into a fight over a nameless boogie record which is so rare (super rare!) that even the usual disco detectives hadn’t discovered it yet. Actually, they still haven’t. Without a name – and only identified by a test pressing sticker dedicated to the NYC-disco-DJ-legend Walter “Hot Trix” Scott – the 72-year old owner of the record store/basement accidently placed the record on his belt-driven turntable. Turning their heads and smacking their lips, both were so full of lust to get their hands on this precious relic that they both rushed to the booth, waving their hard-earned cash.
Some Italian profanities and chest-beating later, Larry and David decided to buy the thing together (the old dude had raised the price sky-high by this point) and take it to Tiger’s studio. Unfortunately, the fruit of their teamwork never saw the light of day due to a hard drive crash…and you know what they say…you can’t recreate the magic of the moment. But the guys kept on working, and as they timidly presented their early works to a mutual friend (an avid record collector) he gasped: “This is what DJ Sneak should sound like today!”

Claptone (MCR Debut);

Beginning of 2012 a new name appeared on the international dancefloor: CLAPTONE (artist of the year 2012 in German Trendcharts DCC).
The track ‘CREAM’ became the worldwide Top Track (No.2) of Beatport in the category Deep House and was among the Top 10 of the most charted tracks for 2012 on Resident Advisor.
2013 brings 2 more surehots for the clubs: WRONG & NO EYES featuring JAW from dOP.Whilst Claptone has continued to roam in his own circles, 2012AD proved to be a year dominatedby his infectious ‘Cream’ track. It became an immediate hit, topping new world charts at Beatport and RA, whilst the sonic conjuring of the ‘Night On Fire’ EP also lured all those who heard it, with the result another Top 20 hit. But that’s not all, for the creativity flows freely in our hero, and his ‘Another Night’ also proved to be just as successful on the dancefloor. Deep and woozy, the Claptone sound pairs theatre with tragedy, feel good vibes with acute melancholia and imbues each groove with a Rhodes laced funk, an organic string hook and myriad earthy elements.

Up to the present day, Claptone releases have been birthed on Germany’s influential Exploited label, picking up props from the likes of Pete Tong, DJ Sneak, Soul Clap, DJ Hell, Jesse Rose, A-Trak along the way. Who or whatever Claptone is, it is alive, with a life of its own, evolving and revolving in equal measure, exploring new sounds naturally and forever taking inspiration from long gone and occult worlds.
So far, esteemed and influential dancefloors at clubs in Berlin, London, Paris, Melbourne, Shanghai, New York and many others around the world have fallen under the sonic spell of this secretive alche- mist. The future is unpredictable for Claptone, but a new release ‘Wrong’ including the track ‘No Eyes’ with the inimitable JAW from French funsters dOP is on the horizon. Beyond that, your guess is as good as ours...

John Dimas (MCR Debut);

John Dimas is a well-known performer in Greece, recently Berlin based who throughout his career has dabbled with production and live performances as a DJ. His introduction to music was in 1999; collecting records of many and various artists. His musical culture at this time included a wide range of styles: techno, acid and more specifically house music. He built himself a strong reputation as a DJ, and more precisely for his capacity to dig out hot and exclusive tracks. As a DJ, he without question possesses an incredible talent and is undoubtedly a rising star.

Two decks and a homemade mixer were the ‘tools’ for the production of his first DJ sets. International DJ’s and club owners though, soon recognized his musical and mixing talents. His unique DJ set, using 3 turntables, has also been presented on various dance floors, not only in his native country, but also abroad. Amongst his highlights is a performance at the Nuits Sonores festival in France.

Apart from his DJ activity, John has begun to take his musical talents into the studio. In 2008, he made his first production attempt as half of Actor One released on Bloop.
Nowadays John is focusing more on solo productions with great releases on labels like Bass Culture, Dame Music , One Records ,Back And Forth ,Claap , and many more.
