Wild Beasts at O2 Academy Liverpool

British Indie rock band Wild Beasts from Kendal will be dropping in at Liverpool’s O2 Academy on Thursday the 30th of October to play a live show alongside a number of special guests. This gig will be part of Liverpool’s Music Week Festival, the annual celebration of musical culture that will be hosting events all around the city throughout the week and over the weekend.
Wild Beasts have been a very well know group since their debut album was released in 2008 on Domino Records, much to the delight of critics, who largely gave the album very good reviews. The bands following album, Two Dancers was not only charted in several ‘Best Of’ charts in 2009, it was also nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. Aside from being established original producers, Wild Beasts have also worked remixes for other reputable artists such as Jessie Ware and Lady Ga Ga amongst others.
This year, Wild Beasts released their fourth studio album and since it hit the shelves have been tirelessly touring around the world, spreading their imaginative music to each of the far corners. Having played at the majority of all major festivals this summer like Reading and Leeds, Glastonbury and Bestival the four-piece will, after their gig in Liverpool, be taking to Asia where they will be playing in Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong and Taipei, prospects the band have said the are very excited about.
