We have merged these two worlds together with the intention of bringing our audiences amazing live performances, filled with outstanding lyrical content in an ambient and intimate setting.

Between live acts DJ Shorty will be spinning some mellow, chilled out Hip hop vibes at a speak easy level to provice the perfect backdrop as you talk and meet with like minded people.
Additionally, we both an open mic segment hosted by Kingpin and Shay D as well as our book club during the earlieset part of the eveing where we encourage open discourse around Hip Hop related texts and give everyone the platform to express themesleves.

Beginning life as underground rapper Doc Brown, Ben Bailey Smith has diversified profoundly, moving into mainstream TV and Film acting, stand up, screen writing and children’s books. He has a host of notable television performances under his belt including a starring role in ITV’s Law & Order, C4’s The Inbetweeners and Derek, BBC thriller Hunted, BBC comedies Rev, Miranda, Russell Howard’s Good News, Live at the Apollo and ITV’s Midsomer Murders, and is highly regarded for his ongoing work with Ricky Gervais.
In 2017 Smith recorded an hour-long stand up special for the BBC due to be aired in Feb/March.
He has also announced a comeback to music, returning to his roots to release an album, Stemma, his first in over a decade, accompanied by a highly anticipated tour in March and April.
Poetic Pilgrimage is a female Hip Hop and Spoken Word duo who express the world as they see it through the art of rhyme. They are a rare act, being one of the few Muslim female outfits around and they bring a refreshing perspective to issues of identity, global politics and women’s issues inspired by their faith and legacy of their ancestors.
