Ten Walls - LIVE
After a successful summer and an already impressive doubling of UK shows that saw the likes of Joseph Capriati, Acid Mondays, KiNK and Heidi take over their spiritual homes Arts Club and The Shipping Forecast, the institution is ready to rock once more with another insatiable line up that features another top drawer selection of hot house and techno DJs and producers. On The 29th of November, Circus will be hosting a Snowbombing special in recognition of the 6 day festival that is taking place in Maryhofen, Austria at the beginning of April.
Yousef will be bringing his highly energetic sound to the table as he kicks off the line up, as always, however taking a headline spot this month will be a Lithuanian whom has fabricated some of the most played club tracks of the summer that we have just seen off. We are of course talking about Ten Walls, whose distinctive sound favours plenty of the old French horn as well as deep beats and breakdowns that will make you wish you were back sitting on the sunset strip once again. Famous for his breakthrough singles ‘Gotham’ and ‘Walking With Elephants’ he is one that will definitely be drawing them in from far and wide.
Next up is a true underground warrior and one of the meatiest players in the game. As one third of the DJ super group Better Lost Than Stupid and an ingenious selector and producer in his own right, Matthias Tanzmann is near the very top of the list, being one of the few respected figures to have gained a residency at Circo Loco, not to mention his own annual event at DC-10 Ibiza, where he and his compadres Squillace and Buttrich commence an all night long back to back performance which is quite truthfully titillating.
Patrick Topping is a name that after this year’s explosion of new musical talent all will be familiar with. From Newcastle he has slowly mounted up a huge reputation to now be playing for Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations imprint, and this is putting aside his already vast discography that includes his kicked out bass heavy tunes being seen on labels like Hot Trax and Avotre. Acid Mondays are the final guests to be joining Circus’ Snowbombing line up, but that’s not forgetting the residents, as Lewis Boardman, Scott Lewis, Kydus and Marc Roberts will all be on hand to fill in the gaps with more great music. Lewis has been hot on his own heels recently as he has a number of exciting releases in the pipeline that include EPs on Luciano’s Cadenza, Play It Down and Wilde.
