Praia da Rocha, Portugal
Praia da Rocha, about two miles south of Portimão, is the town’s main beach, where the remains of Fort of Santa Catarina (Forte da Santa Catarina), a 17th century fort lie. Praia da Rocha is surrounded by stunning red-rock cliffs, so it’s no surprise Praia da Rocha means ‘Rocky Beach’ in Portuguese.
