Beat Hotel Marrakech 2021
About
Beat Hotel 2021 will not go ahead in March 2021 as planned due to the rapidly changing situation concerning COVID-19 Coronavirus.
Taking its name after a small hotel in the latin quarters of Paris during the late 1950s/early 1960s, the original Beat Hotel was renowned for achieving popularity amongst creative beat writers and artists alike, including the likes of Allen Ginsberg, Peter Orlovsky, William S. Burroughs, Derek Raymond, Harold Norse, Gregory Corso and Sinclair Beiles.
Glastonbury opened its doors in 2011 to the Beat Hotel brand in the form of a party stage that has since been described as “a fully-furnished freak zone” for misfits, creatives, crazies, and anyone who stumbled inside, alongside the accompanying mid-century stylings and mantra "Eat, Drink Dance” that can be found displayed on its iconic sign.
With some of the best DJs and live acts taking to the Hotel stage over the last six years, previous acts include Fatboy Slim, Peggy Gou, Four Tet, Sampha, Jamie XX, Call Super, Bicep, and many more, making Beat Hotel one of most memorable experiences for festival goers.
Taking to their next big adventure, Beat Hotel journeys to the mystical paradise of Marrakech for a four-day residency at the exotic Fellah Hotel, the ultimate setting for the Beat Hotel to once again become an actual hotel. A celebration of curated music, an experimentation of cuisine, an exploration of ideas, and a conversation of cultures; it’s time to escape and check in with the new Beat Hotel.
