Creamfields has established itself as one of the biggest dance music festivals in the world, with its quest to conquer the globe proving successful up to now, with festivals having now been staged in Spain, Chile Portugal, Poland, Mexico and Argentina, which attracts sixty thousand people on its own. Since 2013, Creamfields has been bringing its all-encompassing festival to Malta, with the one-day instalment landing here every August.
Creamfields Malta first took place at the world famous Gianpula Complex, however after the second year the festival found a new home at The MFCC (Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre). The 2016 incarnation of the festival took place at the newly built state of the art Uno Village.
As with all their festivals in countries all over the world, expenses are never spared with the lineups at Creamfields, nor are they at Creamfields Malta, with focus brought onto house, trance and techno of all persuasions for one day over five stages. Since the festivals debut year in 2013, the likes of EDM superstars Alesso, Martin Garrix and Steve Angello have headed up the main stages, with global trance favourites like Above & Beyond, Paul Oakenfold and Paul Van Dyk also playing there too. Underground tastes have been well catered for too, with Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, Chris Liebing, David August, Technasia, Joseph Capriati, Pan-Pot, Sasha and Adam Beyer having also played since the first year.
As Malta continues to become one of the best places to party through a growing festival scene and beautiful scenery, Creamfields Malta remains a constant and will no doubt continue to flourish with the rest of the island’s music scene.
