The Garden Tisno is a beautiful coastline resort that offers three venues for the daytime and nighttime entertainment to take place. The beach bar is the main port of play during the day, as DJs will play under the summer sun whilst you relax and unwind on the white sands of the Croatian beach. When the night takes hold it may cool a little, however the music stays just as hot as the beach bar also runs through the night, adjacent to the main stage and Barbarella’s Discotheque, which is where the majority of nighttime mischief takes place due to its unrivalled décor and underground vibe, making it one of the best clubs in the country.
The music at Soundwave is a superb mix of everything great and good about sound system culture and urban music, with headliners of the ilk of Fat Freddy’s Drop, DJ Yoda, De La Soul, Bonobo, DJ Shadow, Slum Village and Mr Scruff appearing since the first festival in 2009. Across the rest of the line up, DJ sets have been brought by Rustie, DJ Format, Lone, Craig Charles, Submotion Orchestra, Kutmah, Doom, Gold Panda, Riot Jazz, LTJ Bukem, Bodhi, Maribou State, Alexander Nut and Madlib. Sound systems have also made the trip over to The Garden Tisno, with the Channel One Sound System being one that has returned year after year.
In addition to the endless amount of music at the selection of Tisno venues, there will also be a series of art installations featuring work from some of the most creative artists of today. The on land entertainment isn’t where the fun ends either, as there are a number of boat parties that will be hosted by various brands and music labels.
