On Friday the 5th of December, the duo behind radio Soulwax that is 2manydjs will be descending upon the O2 Academy Leeds to unleash their high energy electro pop and house music round its dance floor, joined by a selection of special guests.
2manydjs, also known as Soulwax are the DJing duo from Ghent in Belgium who have long been commercial clubbing favourites known for their energetic pop remixes that can span from grungy electro to driving techno. With a discography compiled mostly of official and unofficial remixes, 2manydjs have released a long line of material, with some singles and albums popping up along the way. Their remixes have been fronted by a huge number of DJs on the radio, not to mention at the majority of night clubs and some even in the official charts. Some of the most notable remixes include their early reworks of tracks like Kylie Minogue’s ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ and Robbie Williams’ ‘Lovelight’, as well as some of their more recent and more noticable works including MGMT’s ‘Kids’ and Tiga’s ‘Mind Dimension’.
Aside from their huge roster of remixes, 2ManyDJ’s have released a handful of their own singles, some of which are released under their other monikers The Flying Dewaele Brothers and of course Soulwax. Compilation albums have been a big part of 2ManyDJ’s release line, especially their ‘As Heard On Radio Soulwax, Pt. 2’ that was named the best pop music album in the year 2002. Other notable LP’s include ‘Much Against Everyone’s Advice’ and ‘This Is Radio Soulwax’. Although the pair has not released another album since 2007, there is exciting news on the horizon that a new long player will be landing later this year.
Friday 5th December sees the duo joined by The 2 Bears, Good Life and more still to be announced at Leeds' O2 Academy.
Tickets on sale Thursday 25th September 09:00am.
