Festival season is now in full swing with masses of people flocking to various fields, parks and stately homes throughout the summer months for weekend long celebrations of music and arts. July brings with it a number of great gatherings that we recommend, stretching from one-day raves to weeklong camping affairs in the most lusciously green surroundings the country has to offer. Here we have picked the cream of the crop for the remainder of the month.
Cocoon In The Park
Now in its sixth year, Cocoon In The Park has become hailed as one of the pinnacle parties on the Leeds clubbing calendar and is a treasured day out for many up and down the country. On July 12th Cocoon’s own papa Sven will be flying over to Temple Newsam just outside Leeds city centre to serve us 4 hours of his best sounds, which never fail to close the day on a high. Playing the sunset set from 7pm, year after year Sven Väth’s creative transition from house to techno is a great spectacle to hear and see, all whilst darkness slowly creeps over the sloping field the single stage is set upon. Joining Sven will be names who have played the festival before and faces who have appeared throughout the year at Mint Club and its sister venues. These include Ricardo Villalobos, Seth Troxler, Apollonia and Enzo Siragusa. As always the stage will be set with the Cocoon dancers and plenty of visual treats from pyrotechnics to confetti canons. All we are praying for now is a spot of sunshine and you have a perfect day on the horizon.
