This summer is looking strong for The Nest in London, with the likes of Artful Dodger, Vincenzo, Ms Dynamite and Chris Lorenzo being just some of the super diverse selection of guests that will be descending on the space throughout the next month. On July 8th, The Nest’s appetite for classic house music will be sated with the arrival of A Guy Called Gerald for an acid house special.
Gerald is the Manchester born DJ who’s anthemic track Voodoo Ray is one of the most revered house anthems of all time. With a career spanning over 30 years, he is a veteran of the scene who is still at the top of his game so many years after becoming one of the most in demand DJs and live performers of the acid house era. Gerald’s live performances today see him having evolved with technology, now embracing all parts of Roland’s Aira series and as a DJ he is more versatile than ever. Expect to hear his own classic tracks together with ripe selections from today’s most revered producers.
Gerald will be playing alongside Darren from 808 State, another hugely influential acid house duo that regularly shook the foundations of The Hacienda during the clubs seminal period. The line up is rounded off with Grainger.
