After the mammoth show in September that welcomed CUFF Records head honchos Amine Edge & DANCE, AHORA is back for November and December, and they have recruited two of today’s biggest names in dance music to orchestrate the soundtrack to their next two events at Sheffield’s O2 Academy.
The first event, taking place on the 22nd of November welcomes the very talented, number 1 selling producer Route 94. At only 20 years old he has already fabricated a chart topping single and launched a record label, which in my opinion is pretty impressive. Previously a dubstep producer, Route 94 has worked with Benga, Skream and Katy B and released his second EP this summer, titles ‘Misunderstood’. Joining Route 94 will be Catz ‘N’ Dogz, a duo who again have been turning lots of head within the house music circuit, through tracks like their remix of Thomas Schumacher’s ‘Hush’ and their own original productions on Dirtybird, stretching through a number of well charted releases.
The second of AHORA’s winter wonders brings a line up boasting yet another number 1 selling artist. Having also been nominated for a Grammy Award, December’s headliner Duke Dumont is established in both the dance music underground and through mainstream channels. Hit singles like ‘Need U (100%)’ and ‘I Got U’ have topped charts worldwide, whilst ‘Street Walker’ and his remix of Kiwi’s ‘The Mara’ have been heard all over club land throughout the summer in the DJ bags of Seth Troxler et al. For this one, there will be further entertainment brought by Jax Jones and the earlier mentioned Kiwi, who track on Duke’s Blasé Boys Club label has been charted by the likes of Kele Okereke and Riton.
These 2 events will both be under huge anticipation, therefore we don’t recommend waiting around for tickets as names like these will be likely to cause quick sell outs.
