Los Angeles singer-songwriter Aimee Allen will bring her band The Interrupters to Liverpool’s O2 Academy on Friday 10th February, serving up a US supersized helping of ska punk for Merseyside’s gigging community.
With a sound characterised by effervescent energy, jumpy guitars and all hands on deck vocals, The Interrupters channel their frontwoman’s plentiful charisma to turn their shows into exhilarating ska workouts, moving their audience up and down like they’ve attached springs to their shoes. Having been playing together as a group since 2012, the fourtet of siblings have fine-tuned their familial chemistry into tight performances with plenty of zip, and they have been a successful fit on the Hellcat Records imprint that signed them before their debut album dropped in August 2014.
Heading to the UK’s Northwest as part of a wider UK tour including shows in support of pop-punk veterans Green Day, the band will be excited to see what Liverpool has to offer on their transition from bridesmaid to leading lady.
