A fresh wave or bands and artists have joined the Sunday billing for Field Day 2016 providing an eclectic blend of sounds spanning from rock right across electronic spectrum over the course of the day.
French duo Air will be providing a taste of their downtempo electronica whilst the mellow vibes will be continued as Australian 4 piece The Temper Trap will also be descending on Victoria Park June 12th. 1998’s Moon Safari saw Air’s expertise in the studio recognised as the album was met with critical acclaim no thanks to its seminal track Sexy Boy which perfectly captured the duo’s ability to blend harmonious melodies with guitar and synth lines. Another band enriched by a distinctive sound joining the lineup is Fat White Family who often grab the headlines for their outlandish behaviour and on stage antics which can border on the bizarre. Nonetheless the collective more than justify their reputation as one of the top bands in the UK currently due to their raucous live show and 2 stellar studio performances consisting of 2013’s Champagne Holocaust and their recent effort Songs For Our Mothers. Further additions to the Sunday lineup include Mystery Jets, Adam Green and Steve Mason.
