AJ Tracey will lead the line as grime label Butterz takes over Supercharged in Brighton on Saturday 18th February. Also featuring Butterz bosses Elijah & Skilliam, as well as regular contributors Royal-T and Champion, the night will show Concorde 2 some of the pinnacle tunes in British bass music.
West London grime MC AJ Tracey has been a huge breakthrough act in 2016, riding a wave of publicity off the back of regular appearances on pirate radio and the release of his first two EPs in the latter half of 2015. Getting mad ratings after “Thiago Silva” - a collaboration with Dave - pulled 2 and a half million views on YouTube, AJ Tracey has become a prominent figure in the ever-strengthening grime scene.
Elijah & Skilliam started Butterz back in 2010, and have been instrumental in the rise of grime as a force in UK music. Talented selectors as well as producers, the pair have recruited the likes of Swindle, P Money, TQD and S-X for releases on the imprint, with TQD’s Royal T also representing when the Butterz crew join Supercharged on the south coast. The Brighton bass specialists are an easy fit with Elijah & Skilliam’s brainchild, and will look forward to hosting the London crew next February.
