If you’re looking for a party, you’d be forgiven for not jumping to Andorra as your first point of call, but then maybe that’s the beauty of Apres Ski Festival, which will take its guests on the road less travelled from January 2nd until the 1st of April. Presenting a beautiful landscape for avid skiers to hone their skills, or indeed for newcomers to try them out, the festival takes the en vogue combination of winter sports and dance music to create a ski season with extra party in the packet. Bringing in a whole host of DJ bookings with a weekly changeover, the festival will look to transform the Andorran village of Aransal into a prime holiday spot for slope-sliders who like to dance in their time off.
Kicking off with a VIP launch on Monday 2nd January, Apres Ski Festival will invite Dan McKie, Adrian Kay and Charlie D to run celebrations, before handing over to a collection of the world’s best female DJs on Saturday 7th. Taking control of parties on Thursday 12th and Friday 13th, the ladies from Pacha, Sankeys, Fashion TV and more will set the tone for over three months of top-class parties, which will be held two or three times each week.
Guests are presented with the option of joining each weekly slot on the Saturday or the Tuesday, with those joining early getting access to additional benefits such as a morning in a luxury spa and a tax free shopping trip. Whether staying for the full seven days or just the four, visitors will get an all-inclusive package with flights, ski passes, insurance, pick ups and more, with a free collective ski lesson thrown in for good measure. Guests will stay in a 3 or 4 star hotel after arriving by way of a private return coach from Barcelona, meaning there will be ample space for relaxation should you need a brief rest from the hectic schedule of day fun on the slopes and night fun in the clubs.
Moving on into the season, the week commencing 14th January will see Danny Rampling, Seb Fontaine and Joshua Roberts behind the decks, with the following week seeing in elrow residents Alex Pott and Ion Panadides. Next up, Andorran residents take to the decks before a Valentines Special is run from the 4th February. After that February will see The Greatest Show On Earth, and a Narnia Theme, before March is treated to Portugal’s finest selectors, Joe T Vanelli and Brandon Block. Finishing up on the week from Saturday 1st April, Space Ibiza’s tour will add a sparkling touch to a ski season unlike any that Andorra has seen before.
