Egg has had a huge summer already having had the likes of Steve Lawler, Detroit Swindle, German Brigante, Kerri Chandler, Wankelmut and Tiefschwarz play during recent weeks. Egg London’s regular events such as Egg Presents, Familia and X Presents have all had some great guests, with the recent Eastern Electrics after party also proving one of the best parties of the season so far. Although we are now a week into August, there is still a huge amount of goings on happening throughout the rest of the month. Here we’ve given you the low down on what’s coming your way from this week.
Paradox has continued to remain one of the strongest mid week house and techno nights in London through their long list of strong underground bookings. This week Paradox will be showcasing the talents of one of Egg’s most revered residents Kyle E, with Wesley Razzy and Grittrip also supporting.
As the weekend arrives things heat up to boiling point as Egg Presents bring Mike Mago and Digital Farm Animals to play on the Friday, whilst FACT and Serialism team up to host one hell of a line upon Saturday. Here you can see the wizard that is Mathew Jonson performing live as well as Romanian’s Livio & Roby, who, aside from producing as a duo, have also been heavily supported this year through their Premiesku moniker, the name given to their joining with fellow countryman George G. The line up doesn’t end here as Alex Niggeman, Azimute and Alexi Delano add further weight, with Herr, Pazkal and Joe Le Groove completing this huge Saturday programme.
The following weekend welcomes Kurv and No.19 music who will be showcasing the talents on Lowsteppa, Back To Basics’ resident Denney and Camelphat on Friday, before Martin Buttrich, Nitin, Maher Daniel and Music On residents Neverdogs on Saturday. Egg continues the weekend into Sunday here also with Melt Music.
August Bank Holiday weekend is always a big one for club land, with Egg never disappointing when it comes to their day and night parties making the most of all their rooms. Egg Presents will be open for business on Friday and Saturday, the latter of which will also see a special ‘Carnival In D Garden’. Art Department’s Kenny Glasgow, Cozzy D, Volkoder, Moodtrap and more will be spread over the first 2 days, before Promised Land return on the Sunday to bring 4 house music greats, those being A Guy Called Gerald, Shades Of Rhythm, Sandy Rivera and Matt Jam Lamont, a very exciting bill indeed.
