Last month Back to Basics celebrated its 23rd birthday at Beaver Works, featuring guests and residents who entertained clubbers across four rooms of quality music. As the nights are getting shorter and Christmas approaches, it’s time to get excited for New Year’s Eve. Back to Basics have announced that they are returning to Wire on December 31st for a special New Year’s party with One Records label manager and Below co-founder Adam Shelton.
Anyone that attended the ‘Back to Basics Gets Wired’ parties will attest to the special atmosphere that Basics brought to the venue. Friends, family and exciting home grown talent were showcased at these events and clubbers can expect another electric night at the end of the month. Birmingham’s Adam Shelton, widely known on the underground scene as a DJ whose technique and track selection are truly authentic will be helping see in 2015. Shelton founded One Records in 2009 with Below resident Subb-an, since then One Records has become one of the most exciting underground house labels of recent times. Influenced by an appreciation for early US and Acid house, his talent has seen him perform at many of the most influential clubs and parties around the world. Adam Shelton will be joined by Back to Basics residents Denney, James Barnsley, James Holroyd and Dave Beer as well as emerging talent Josh Plews and Aden Konrad.
