Terry Francis comes with a reputation built over the course of a few decades, his delectable selections having contributed to Fabric’s rise to superclub status and the cult success of his own acid house night Wiggle. A prolific producer to boot, Francis has become synonymous with masterfully crafted musical pieces which dive deep and weave through ethereal soundscapes, both when making tracks and stringing them together. Whether behind the decks in his hometown or taking ownership of dancefloors across the world, he has taken it upon himself to blur boundaries between old and new, discarding constraints to promote house music that challenges the listener and raises the bar for his peers. A veteran of the scene with enough experience acquired to run any party, the Londoner will be a safe pair of hands for Leeds’ longest running and most famous house night.
As usual, the Basics guest will be assisted by an accomplished team, with founder Dave Beer and resident James Barnsley providing that all important Back To Basics flavour. Arguably the central figure in Leeds’ party scene over the last few decades, Beer long ago rose to deity status as a DJ and a champion of hedonism, whilst Barnsley is quite rightly respected alongside Ralph Lawson and co as one of the greatest residents that the city has been blessed with.
As always, when dealing with Back To Basics, quality is assured.
